that two Israeli shells out of a salvo
of as many as five, impacted inside the base, some six miles
south-east of Tyre, cutting down at least
200 Lebanese civilians. In the words
of the United Nations on the ground,
"It was a massacre." [Peter] The impact

Amid the human debris were the bodies of women,
