to a medic and I said, "How is Margaret?
So, she's been airlifted?" He said, "But you know, pfft, probably best if she died." I said, "What?" He said, "Yeah, you know,
with those injuries, I mean, really,
would you wanna have those injuries
to your face?" [Christiane] They gave her
a blood transfusion. She was airlifted out to
the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. And I didn't know
what I was going to find when I got to the hospital. She was unrecognizable
