We actually held meetings
with manufacturers in the attempt to see if there
was some type of agreement that we could come to with regards to the meaning
of "safe." Every time we told the stories
and the plight of workers, they asked,
"Well, where's the evidence?" In one of the meetings,
the chief industry scientist of a big nail polish brand
picked up a bottle of nail polish
and actually said
with manufacturers in the attempt to see if there
was some type of agreement that we could come to with regards to the meaning
