high-impact moment at the top of the stairs. It starts just above the knee, on
the one on the left-hand side here. And then, as we gradually go
through, year on year, you can see it raising gradually, to peak mini in '66, with quite
a lot of leg on show on this one. Pretty risque! Really, at that point,
mini skirt as a phrase, it's a very accepted part
fashion by that point, and has become a symbol of women's
liberation, something that we absolutely take
for granted today, but was pushed by Mary back in the
'60s
