The V&A prides itself
on acquiring pieces unique in the world for the collection. In the Theatre & Performance stores, Vicky has recently taken possession
of some very rare items. They will become part of
a collection in the rock and pop archives devoted to The Beatles. We have many boxes
that say "Beatles boxes", and those have been collected
since the 1960s. What I'm particularly looking for
is the cels for the Yellow Submarine. These animation cels
are the original hand-drawn images from the famous Beatles movie. Today, Vicky wants to find out
more about them, as they were only recently bought
at auction. We have that one
of John, Paul and Ringo. And then we have George here,
kind of multicoloured background. And we have a Blue Meanie as well
