in the world, keeper James also has
a new star object. This is really
the piece de la resistance. Queen Victoria's coronet. Only recently acquired, it features
an intricate, hinged mechanism studded with gems that must be
handled to be fully appreciated. Lots of the acquisitions and objects
because of their long history have got to be carefully monitored. Even when the light diminishes,
the sparkle is still there. Amazing. The coronet was designed for Queen
Victoria by Prince Albert in 1840, the royal couple's wedding year
in the world, keeper James also has
