We've planted four big
feature trees in our courtyard and they're in the corners
to give it scale and balance, as well as a vertical accent. Now, these are a type of
acer called crimson century. They do get pretty tall but
they don't get too broad, so they're perfect
for a space this size. Now they are deciduous,
which is gonna give us protection from the summer sun, but also
allow that lovely winter light through
