The race at Reims started in darkness. And soon enough, the team
of Bondurant and Schlesser and the Cobra Daytona Coupe
were winning the race handily. No one could keep up with them, and anyone that tried found themselves
destroying their car in the process. The Ferraris were just outgunned by
Shelby's engineering and Brock's design. Jo Schlesser, my co-driver,
we both wanted to win that championship
of Bondurant and Schlesser and the Cobra Daytona Coupe
