And that was the
Mufasa death scene. After the wildebeests
are cleared out, Simba comes down and he's
looking around for his dad, and then he sees him. I mean, that's Simba at his
lowest point in the film. Well, that's the kind of
stuff an actor longs for. And so, I really was excited
to get into that sequence, building on what had
happened early in the film, when you first see Simba
and Mufasa together. He comes bounding in, jumping
on his dad, tugging on his ear, saying like, "Come
on, Dad, Dad, Dad!" So, you needed to have
that foundation built so that when he's essentially attempts to revive his dad, and he's pulling on the ear and nothing happens. It's just like, "Oh, gosh." It cuts right to the heart
