I love Mirabel being someone
that is just asking to exist the way she is and to just live the
life the way she wants without the exterior pressure of,
"Why aren't you like everybody else?" "Why can't you fit
into this family?" "You're the one part of this
family that we don't understand." And I think that's like something
a lot of people go through to feel like, "I'm just me. I'm just
going through the world the way I know." I always related that to the way
I've seen my brother grow up. So I was like,
"Oh, I feel that." Going into Mirabel and going
into that kind of world where everything is,
like, special around you and you feel like, "What?
Where? Where do I fit in?" I know when I first got
into Disney Animation, it did feel like everybody was super
powered around me and I was like, "Oh, I, I just came out of college.
Can, can I do this, you know?" I, I have to go elbow to elbow with
everybody that I've looked up to
that is just asking to exist the way she is and to just live the
