And as it snowballed, the strategy of Markus surrounding
himself with a board and leaders who were going to accept that we
needed to, almost, commit small crimes for the greater
good, so to speak. I'm sure that's how they
explained it to themselves. All of that points
to an infrastructure of deceit and fraud,
almost, if you will, because if that's what comes out, that
it was fraud, then one can now say that that was how you built up this
infrastructure to realize that
