for white radio, too white for Black radio. Any one of those four guys
were not involved, it wouldn't have happened. I said, "Steven,
we should do something." He said,
"I've already written a song." The track was really catchy. And then we started
just sort of brainstorming who could be on the record. And we get together
at this, uh, Sunrise Diner right on 57th Street
would have heard of it, because American
radio wouldn't play it. It was too Black
