you'd be playing Sinatra," and I says, "No, man,
this is Southside." He said, "I know who it is." "You know I wrote
all those songs?" I says, "I didn't know that." and I took the CD out,
said Van Zandt, I says, "I didn't know that." He's clearly
fabricating a persona, but you smell enough
of Steven in the character, that-that it's totally
believable. Without Frank, none of youse
would be in this room tonight
