So, within this operations room, you'd have a massive, great big table with a map on it, and you'd have maybe eight or ten WAAF women of the Women's Auxiliary Air Force in uniform, with these very large metallic rods, a bit like croupier rods, moving these counters, which, basically, said how many aircraft there were, their position, and their height, and these would be continually moved around
