I remember one day,
on the fourth floor newsroom of the "Chicago Tribune,"
one of the copy editors walked all the way
across the newspaper and looked at me and said, "Strobel, you're not
the best writer in the world, but doggone it,
you're a clear writer." And to me, that was
the biggest compliment 'cause that's what I think
good writing really is
