Mark: The Ministry of Information doesn't want it known that robots are dealing in robots. It would only give the Flesh & Blooders something more to yell about.
Dr. Raven: They're a minority.
Mark: A loud minority.
Dr. Raven: Your supplier, will they take his identity?
Mark: His memory will be dispersed tomorrow. What a waste.
Dr. Raven: Why don't they just kill him? The effect of personal cessation is the same in either case. They just leave a hollow shell walking around.
Mark: He can still perform his duties.
Dr. Raven: But he's without a past, without hope, the dream gone.
Mark: Almost like being a robot, isn't it?
Dr. Raven: No offence.
Mark: I'm incapable of taking offence. But why is it the more we become like men, the more some of them hate us for it?
Dr. Raven: Men hate what they fear. You have perfect memory. Infallible logic. You never tire. You're circuited against anger and violence.
Mark: And in your world that leaves us pretty helpless.
Dr. Raven: We have to study for years what you pick up just plugging into a brain for two hours.
Mark: We don't refer to the Father-Mother as a brain.
