Becca: I wanted more than just perfectly fine, and he deserved that, too. I don't think it's unreasonable to want to be sure.
Kyle: In my experience, everybody has a magical story for the interview. Then you delve deeper, and you see that we're just really good at rewriting the fairy tale into our history.
Becca: You still don't believe in that kind of love.
Kyle: I don't know. I thought that I had defied the odds of my parents' divorce when I met my ex-girlfriend, Ellie. We had that instant connection thing. She was the one, and she was on the same page.
Becca: So, what happened?
Kyle: The page turned for her. It's funny how you can be so sure about something and so wrong.
Becca: Hmm. It must've been so hard. But you can't shut down just because of one experience.
