OK, you rolling? I travel from London to the Haitian
capital, Port-au-Prince. Haiti lies in the middle of the
Caribbean, surrounded by Jamaica, Cuba and the Bahamas. For some reason, just over
half a million tourists visited Haiti last year. Five million went to the
Dominican Republic, including my uncle. But, having spent the 14-hour flight
imagining the myriad of ways I might get killed, I arrived in a state of
high alert
