Shall I ever hold again that radiant maiden whom the angels call Lenore? Dr. Bedloe:
[as the raven]
How the hell should I know? What am I, a fortune teller? [Craven goggles at him] Dr. Bedloe:
Ooh, I'm chilled to the bone! Why don't you get me some wine? [Craven gapes at him] Dr. Bedloe:
Well, just don't stand there gaping at me! Dr. Craven:
That voice, I... Dr. Bedloe:
[Interrupting him]
Will you give me some wine? Dr. Craven:
[Finally snapping out of it]
Yes, yes. [He goes over to the desk and offers him a chalice] Dr. Craven:
Here's some nice hot milk. Dr. Bedloe:
Milk? How vomitable! Dr. Craven:
[sheepishly putting down the chalice and pouring a glass of wine]
Surely this is a dream. Dr. Bedloe:
Hurry up, will you! [flies onto the table] Dr. Craven:
[holding out the glass]
There you are Dr. Bedloe:
What do you expect me to do, hold it? [Craven nods] Dr. Bedloe:
With what? [Craven, now realizing, shrugs helplessly] Dr. Bedloe:
Oh, never mind! [flies onto his arm and drinks from the glass] Dr. Bedloe:
