with autism, there's still a lot of stigma. As she grew up,
I started to realize that Jes wasn't looked at with love
or empathy, it was with hatred
and such negativity. One day,
just outside these gates, she went into crisis,
full-blown crisis, screaming, head-banging,
biting. And I just saw people,
they think... in Krio, they'll say...
[in Krio] " Debul don olan." So, "the devil
has possessed her."
