Louise Soubirous: [obviously initially very concerned after having just heard that Bernadette was suddenly taken ill] Bernadette! Are you alright?
Bernadette: [calmly, due to thankfully being ok] Yes mama. There's nothing to worry about.
Louise Soubirous: Nothing to worry about?...
[starts to cry]
Louise Soubirous: ... Scare me half to death and you say 'there's nothing to worry about.' I left your father's dinner to burn; I ran through the streets like a mad woman, what do I find? You, sitting there like... like a princess on a throne. You good for!...
Madame Nicolau: [quickly intervening] Don't strike the child! She's an angel of God.
Louise Soubirous: [dismissively and sarcastically] Angel... she's the laughing stock of Lourdes
