You mustn't be offended when I ask you not to do anything about my case. The truth is, I don't care at all how it comes out. If they sentence me, I'll just laugh at them. Not that it'll ever come to that. Oh, they might make a show of carrying it out in the hope of getting money out of me, but they're wasting their time, I can tell you that. There's one thing you could do for me. Tell that Examining Magistrate of yours that nothing could ever induce me to give money to those precious judges. Nope!
