this national holiday means something completely
different in Cree territory. Beginning as a Hudson
Bay Company trading post, Eastmain has only been
reserved for the Cree people since 1962. But these are traditional
lands going back thousands of years, so for many,
there's a palpable tension around the image of a maple
leaf being celebrated on stolen Native land
