The Fighting Cholita's
league is still in its infancy, and has to rely on male
promoters for access to both a ring and a venue. If they're able to
become fully independent, it will mark an
important point in history for women's wrestling. Outside of Japan and a few
short-lived promotions in the UK, the Cholitas would be
the first promotion to be fully owned and controlled by the
female wrestlers themselves
