The reality is that Aboriginal
youth in Canada face many challenges that stem from
hundreds of years of colonialism. The weight of all of this
can be overwhelming and manifests itself in
truly abhorrent statistics. First Nations youth are over
five times more likely to take their own lives compared
to the Canadian average. From my perspective, the
simple action of Cree Xtreme visiting communities
and kids like Kayla, has the power to
be revolutionary
