A-ha-ha! VERTUE: And his face
was funny, really. It was like... Sometimes looked
a bit like a pudding, you know, it was just all expressionless, and then his eyes would light up. It's a clown's face
without the make-up. Clowns have to put funny make-up on
to make themselves look funny. Tommy didn't have to
put anything on. He'd walk in and go, "Er..."
and you'd just laugh. (LAUGHING) Give us the bill, will you? I always think about his eyes.
Very expressive eyes. Slightly panicking, always. And always slightly amazed
if he gets a laugh. (CHILD LAUGHS)
