to see my dad one day and he was quite distraught
and he said to Dad, "Why do people laugh at me
when I walk into the room? I don't say anything, I don't
do anything. Why do they do that?" And Dad just said to him,
"They laugh. Be thankful for that,
don't analyse it. Don't analyse your comedy.
You've got it. Just work with it." Ah, dear.

the looks he was born with that made Tommy Cooper funny.
He had an eye for a killer prop, too, in particular one that he'd brought
back with him from the war
