we were very fortunate that the first case occurred
in the Seattle region. I sometimes call Seattle
sort of the CDC of the West because there are so many
public health researchers and public health people
that end up in Seattle, so in some ways I felt like,
"Okay, they're on top of it, and we're in good hands." My name's Alex Greninger, and I'm the assistant director
of the Clinical Virology Lab here at the University of
Washington Medical Center. Hello
