was a plan to subsidize the efforts of private
companies to buy and sell PPE. Max Kennedy's team
would find the PPE and negotiate
the lowest possible price. Private companies
would then pay the bill. Then the federal government
would pay to fly the PPE stateside
from overseas. And we had partnered with the five largest
medical distributors. Once we shipped it
to the United States, they would take over
and sell directly to whoever they would like,
at whatever price they wanted
