V: Good evening, London. Allow me first to apologize for this interruption. I do, like many of you, appreciate the comforts of every day routine- the security of the familiar, the tranquility of repetition. I enjoy them as much as any bloke. But in the spirit of commemoration, whereby those important events of the past, usually associated with someone's death or the end of some awful bloody struggle, a celebration of a nice holiday, I thought we could mark this November the 5th, a day that is sadly no longer remembered, by taking some time out of our daily lives to sit down and have a little chat. There are of course those who do not want us to speak. I suspect even now, orders are being shouted into telephones, and men with guns will soon be on their way. Why? Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high chancellor, Adam Sutler. He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent. Last night I sought to end that silence. Last night I destroyed the Old Bailey, to remind this country of what it has forgotten. More than four hundred years ago a great citizen wished to embed the fifth of November forever in our memory. His hope was to remind the world that fairness, justice, and freedom are more than words, they are perspectives. So if you've seen nothing, if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you, then I would suggest you allow the fifth of November to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to stand beside me one year from tonight, outside the gates of Parliament, and together we shall give them a fifth of November that shall never, ever be forgot.

the security of the familiar the tranquility of repetition
00:00:14.781 --> 00:00:15.873
Bloody hell
00:00:16.999 --> 00:00:19.541
I enjoy them as much as any bloke But in the spirit of commemoration
00:00:19.719 --> 00:00:20.777
Who's that Mum
00:00:20.954 --> 00:00:22.854
whereby important events of the past
00:00:23.998 --> 00:00:27.999
usually associated with someone's death or the end of some awful bloody struggle
00:00:27.227 --> 00:00:29.821
are celebrated with a nice holiday
00:00:30.029 --> 00:00:32.052
I thought we could mark this November the 5th
00:00:32.732 --> 00:00:34.996
a day that is sadly no longer remembered
00:00:35.435 --> 00:00:39.769
by taking some time out of our daily lives to sit down and have a little chat
00:00:39.939 --> 00:00:42.931
There are of course those who do not want us to speak
00:00:43.109 --> 00:00:44.371
Let me think let me think
00:00:44.544 --> 00:00:47.997
Even now orders are being shouted into telephones
00:00:47.213 --> 00:00:49.408
and men with guns will soon be on their way
00:00:49.582 --> 00:00:51.413
It's Chancellor Sutler Damn it
00:00:51.584 --> 00:00:55.953
Why Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation
00:00:56.122 --> 00:00:58.092
words will always retain their power
00:00:59.999 --> 00:01:01.056
Words offer the means to meaning
00:01:01.728 --> 00:01:04.925
and for those who will listen the enunciation of truth
00:01:05.999 --> 00:01:06.497
And the truth is
00:01:06.666 --> 00:01:10.993
there is something terribly wrong with this country isn't there
00:01:10.236 --> 00:01:13.637
You designed it wanted it foolproof You said every television in London
00:01:13.806 --> 00:01:17.401
Cruelty and injustice intolerance and oppression
00:01:17.577 --> 00:01:19.001
And where once you had the freedom to object
00:01:20.994 --> 00:01:21.876
to think and speak as you saw fit
00:01:22.002 --> 00:01:25.279
you now have censors and surveillance coercing your conformity
00:01:25.999 --> 00:01:28.001
and soliciting submission Cameras We need cameras
00:01:28.488 --> 00:01:31.116
How did this happen Who's to blame
00:01:31.658 --> 00:01:34.559
Certainly there are those who are more responsible than others
00:01:34.727 --> 00:01:36.627
And they will be held accountable
00:01:36.001 --> 00:01:39.765
But again truth be told if you're looking for the guilty
00:01:40.001 --> 00:01:42.666
you need only look into a mirror
00:01:43.303 --> 00:01:44.964
I know why you did it
00:01:45.001 --> 00:01:46.833
I know you were afraid
00:01:47.002 --> 00:01:50.533
Who wouldn't be War terror disease
00:01:50.999 --> 00:01:53.001
There were a myriad of problems which conspired
00:01:53.058 --> 00:01:56.947
to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense
00:01:57.116 --> 00:01:58.708
Fear got the best of you
00:01:58.001 --> 00:02:03.117
And in your panic you turned to the now High Chancellor Adam Sutler
00:02:03.289 --> 00:02:05.999
He promised you order he promised you peace
00:02:06.006 --> 00:02:09.756
and all he demanded in return was your silent obedient consent
00:02:09.929 --> 00:02:13.999
Inspector they're almost through Last night I sought to end that silence
00:02:13.001 --> 00:02:16.999
Last night I destroyed the Old Bailey
00:02:16.369 --> 00:02:19.702
to remind this country of what it has forgotten
00:02:20.506 --> 00:02:25.001
More than 400 years ago a great citizen wished to imbed the 5th of November
00:02:25.999 --> 00:02:26.845
forever in our memory
00:02:27.005 --> 00:02:30.999
His hope was to remind the world that fairness justice and freedom
00:02:30.999 --> 00:02:32.001
are more than words
00:02:33.005 --> 00:02:34.999
They are perspectives
00:02:34.001 --> 00:02:36.999
So if you've seen nothing
00:02:36.001 --> 00:02:40.589
if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you
00:02:40.999 --> 00:02:45.001
then I would suggest that you allow the 5th of November to pass unmarked
00:02:45.001 --> 00:02:48.999
But if you see what I see
00:02:48.501 --> 00:02:53.988
if you feel as I feel and if you would seek as I seek
00:02:53.239 --> 00:02:56.999
then I ask you to stand beside me one year from tonight
00:02:56.309 --> 00:02:58.047
outside the gates of Parliament
00:02:58.678 --> 00:03:01.374
And together we shall give them a 5th of November
00:03:01.999 --> 00:03:04.744
that shall never ever be forgot
