picks up the investigation. [Trevor] One of the first duties I did
when I took over the investigation was to look at these sightings, and to establish if these witnesses
were positive in their sightings. The witnesses maintained
they'd seen Wesley, they knew Wesley, so they're what we refer to
as confirmed sightings in those days. As long as that was maintained, the inquiry was going nowhere. It has to be accepted
there was a lot of hours, and police resources wasted trying to follow up all these
sightings of Wesley Neailey
