[Terence] It's not concocted. It's all based on stuff
that's our real life. And it all started with David
and his life, but we recognized
similar problems and similar things
that make us laugh or make us frustrated and stuff. And if it fit with David
and it fit with Tony Soprano, that was part of the show. [David] When I was about
eight or nine, we used to go down to the shore
in Belmar, New Jersey. And we were going out
somewhere at night, going down the stairs, and my father fell and ripped his pants. My mother went crazy laughing. [laughing] That came from that.
