Initially reluctant to extend into
the garage or the garden, Laura's vision persuaded Ruth
and Lindsey to do both, moving the stairs
into the old garage and extending the kitchen-diner
1.7m into the garden at the back. Oh, hello! I think I'm going to be very
happy here. It's huge! It's amazing. I mean, the difference is
unbelievable, cos you used to walk through this way, through the little
dining room with doors out... Yeah. You had to, like, "Oh, oh..." And then through into the kitchen,
bring everything... This was the cloakroom. Yeah. Whereas Laura's design kept
the existing utility and toilet to save money, Lindsey and Ruth
decided to knock them down. This supersized their kitchen-diner
to have a lounge area to the side. The extension feels massive,
it really, really opens it up. Yeah, the sense of space
is incredible
